The clocks have turned and we all know what that means, winter is near. 2016 is disappearing before our eyes and it isn’t long before the new year comes. We’ve taken this opportunity to invite our architecture and interior friends on the contract side for a night of drinks and career discussions about making 2017 a brighter future.

Since Brexit, we’ve seen a 23% increase in contract roles across architecture, interiors, and creative support. Statistics show 75% of new architecture and interior roles we receive are Revit based with an average of 3 months’ long contracts. 69% of contractors are part of Limited companies but market trend articulates the percentage of PAYE contractors will gradually increase.
Del also shared some top tips on successful contracting, including being in contact with your consultant on a weekly basis and giving your consultant as much notice as possible when things change. Let us know if you are working through other agencies and when you will be available again. As candidates, you should know when your current contract will come to an end and make sure that your CV is always up to date.
