COAL DROPS YARD

November 2018, 3rd - November 2018, 4th

Discover the unique architecture of Coal Drops Yard, past and present, in a series of free tours hosted by Heatherwick Studios, the practice responsible for the 2012 Olympic Cauldron, and historian Rebecca Haslam from Pre Construct Archaeology on 3rd and 4th November.

Coal drops were built in the 1850s to receive coal from the North of England. These beautiful Victorian structures are now being brought back to life, transforming the area into an inspiring new cultural and shopping destination for London.
