An architectural interior design studio in London are seeking an Account Manager to join their team for a 1 year maternity cover contract. The studio are known for their award-winning bespoke designs within the hospitality sector. This is a client facing role, and is centred on acquiring, building and managing new and old client relationships. This is a full-time, maternity cover position that would continue to the end of August 2018 with possibility of becoming a permanent member of staff.

Duties include:

  • Meet with clients/potential clients regarding new projects and prepare fee proposals which structure a cohesive stage by stage approach
  • Identify new potential clients and strategically approach them
  • Taking a clear and cohesive brief from client, drawing key information from them regarding the practical and creative elements of projects and creating a briefing document for the client and design team
  • Working with existing fee structures to accurately quote for projects and setting up new fee structures/templates where necessary
  • Setting stage by stage schedules for projects and checking progress of this on a weekly basis
  • Providing the internal team with updated project time lines
  • Assist with new initiatives aimed at profitability and growth
  • Working with the creative director/lead designers to contribute to revision and analysis of presentations
  • Be a point of contact for client teams as well as internal teams
  • Working alongside the company director to make sure client and team issues are dealt with quickly and sensitively

Key skills:

  • Experience of working within a similar role within hospitality/ interior design/architecture
  • Bachelor level degree, preferably in business
  • Excellent communication and client facing skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Organised with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Self-motivated and being able to work independently
  • Understanding of design and creative stages
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Expert in Microsoft Office and ability to use InDesign
