A commercially-led & very established architectural practice renowned for its ability to deliver large scale residential + PRS projects throughout the UK has successfully established a new studio in the heart of London. This studio is now the businesses ‘design hub’.
Context: Following the appointment and success of the studio’s Director level Design Architect, who has secured numerous flagship residential + PRS schemes for the business in recent months, our client is now set to recruit a number two for the studio….in short, they require a confident right-hand design-led architect!
Current Workforce: The Design Studio is already boasting a 6 strong team (architectural assistants & recently qualified architects) headed up by the Design Director. The studio has the full support of the head office, which contains 60+ technically-led staff. The HO is seen as the businesses ‘engine’ and will be able to support the design studio’s technical needs.
“Right now, we need an experienced architect with proven front-end experience, that we can develop into a Director”.
The Opportunity: This position would be best suited to a talented architect with the proven ability to liaise with clients directly, this includes the ability to take large scale projects from RIBA Stages 1-4. Those with experience working as a Project Architect from inception through to completion will of course add more value to their candidacy and to the studio at large.
This role will enable you to develop yourself with a degree of autonomy whilst having the full support of the studio’s Design Director (who will be your mentor).
Career Progression: The successful individual will be placed onto a pathway headed towards Directorship and will receive full support from the business and the necessary responsibility afforded to them to achieve this.
Requirements: In order to be considered for this opportunity, candidates should meet the majority, ideally all, of the following requirements:
- UK based project experience, preferably large scale residential/mixed-use
- An aspiration and ideally a proven ability to be client facing
- A strong creative design-flair coupled with the ability to present directly to clients
- Proven Revit proficiency, BIM knowledge and project experience (highly desirable but not essential)
