A multi-disciplinary design studio with a focus on museums, heritage attractions and brand and corporate experiences is seeking someone exemplary to join their new business team. This role is to coordinate and strategically support all areas of New Business development and to coordinate and manage the Studio’s marketing and press relations activities

New Business
Duties and Responsibilities
1 Co-ordinate the technical operations of the fast-moving New Business Unit.
2 Represent the design studio, with the Head of Business Development, at New Business meetings with prospective clients, partners and others, including conferences, fairs and other sector-relevant events.
3 Monitor all tender opportunities arising on platforms and RFP-Lead as well as inform Senior Management Team of relevant opportunities.
4 Proactively build and develop a network of relevant contacts that further the objectives of the New Business unit and lead to new projects.
5 Manage the calendar of pitches in order to prioritise work and enable the Senior Management Team to delegate tasks effectively, and the production of regular updates to the Studio. Ensure correct and timely circulation of all important information regarding pitches to relevant staff and directors.
6 Coordinate New Business development outputs from across the Studio in response to various tender formats, using Word or InDesign as required.
7 Proactively prepare written responses to tender documentation for review and input by Head of Business Development and others.
8 Ensure the quality, design and relevance of all pitch documentation is up to date, of the highest standard and consistent with the studio’s reputation. Organise printing and delivery needs of pitches as required, i.e. ordering couriers, hand delivery.
9 Ensure the post-pitch follow up process is completed. Request and collate relevant bid feedback and pitch cost as requested.
10 Maintain a full working knowledge of tender folders and the archive so that all new information written or gathered for pitches is kept on file for future use.

Studio Communications
1 Coordinate and manage marketing content across all the studio’s creative activities, be this online, industry promotional material and other areas, subject to review by Head of Business Development.
2 Select and commission anew where necessary photography/films of completed Studio projects for use as part of the marketing strategy.
3 Manage the involvement and outputs of public relations consultants, subject to review by Head of Business Development.
4 Develop opportunities for the Studio to be properly and imaginatively represented at major national and international conferences and sector-related events.
5 Maintain the Studio’s social media accounts, ensuring the studio’s policies in these areas are observed and protected.
6 Maintain and develop targeted relationships with the design press, so that opportunities for coverage and representation with publications and press.
7 Liaise with the studio’s Graphic Design leads on the management of the studio’s brand identity across all communications platforms and formats.

Experience Required
Business development experience within a design, architecture or brand development office environment; track record of coordinating business pitches and assisting in presentations to discerning clients; confident engagement with UK as well as foreign clients.

Candidates should be educated to at least undergraduate level; postgraduate qualification(s) in a related subject (communications, brand management, design, business) is/are an advantage. Fluency in one or more modern European languages, and/or in Chinese or Arabic would be considered a distinct advantage.
High level working competency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign) and Microsoft Office is essential.
