There is an exciting new opportunity for a Project Efficiencies Manager to join an award winning Architectural Practice in London. The practice works across architectural, urban design, master planning, exhibition and interior design. The ideal candidate will ideally have experience within Quality Assurance Management, Project Efficiency Management and Material Library Management.

Key responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Management:

  • Direct the development and implementation of QA activities in line with training and communication, internal auditing and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001
  • Oversee and ensure all QA activities and documents are kept up to date
  • Leading QA initiatives, giving feedback and input where necessary to ensure development
  • Working alongside the ISO 9001 consultant and keeping constantly aware of any changes
  • Staying informed with ISO 9001 updates and suggesting ways to continue compliance with the standard

Project Efficiency Management:

  • Supporting Associates and Director to help implement Project Efficiency activities: eg. project handbooks, project running, ensuring protocols are in place etc
  • Establishing which areas of the business that need improving and implementing changes to resolve issues by defining strategies, leading efficiency initiatives and awareness of sustainability and wellness
  • Keeping up with industry standards that could affect project running
  • Liaising with external consultants on project matters and providing teams with guidance on how practice standards can be maintained
  • Collecting and reviewing project data such as working hours spend, fee information and any other relevant information to find ways to improve future projects

Material Library Management:

  • Liaising with external consultants on project matters and for the material library
  • Working alongside Project Administrators to ensure project completion
  • Oversee and lead the growth of the material library, liaising with the Project Efficiencies team to determine necessary additions

Key skills:

Communication & IT skills:

  • Excellent English language skills with good grammar and verbal communication skills
  • A strong communicator with the ability to formulate arguments for debates, listening and ask questions where appropriate, describing work both internally and externally
  • Ability to create effective presentations and contractual documents without supervision
  • Knowledge of InDesign and PhotoShop as well as Microsoft Word and Excel

Personal qualities and knowledge:

  • Ability to prioritise and execute a diverse range of tasks
  • A keen interest of Architecture and the Arts
  • Reliability and pro activeness at all times, with willingness to go the extra mile
  • Strong proven experience of managing and developing a team
  • Responding in a timely and accurate manner
  • Engaging in interactions with colleagues internally and with suppliers and consultants externally constructively
  • Motivating and influencing others through training and leadership
  • A self-motivated, dynamic individual who is constantly looking to improve
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance (ISO 9001), Project Management and an understanding of the construction industry
  • Proven experience of managing and motivating a team within a similar role
