A high-end workplace furniture and partitioning company is seeking at Technical Sales Support person to join their London partitioning team. In this role you would work closely with the sales manager and would be a part of every partition order process, from initial quote all the way to installation. The company works with a broad range of clients across the UK and Ireland and gives ample opportunity to learn, progress, and be a part of a team. The ideal candidate will have had experience in the interiors/partitioning industry with a working knowledge of AutoCAD (not essential but highly desirable) and advanced Excel. Training on some of the technical aspects of the role will be provided, but it is imperative that you are analytically-minded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with support team and all suppliers to ensure smooth running of orders from initial placement to end delivery
  • Read/review/submit technical drawings for planning and quotes and review AutoCAD partitioning design layouts
  • Assist in managing all projects with sales team, checking order confirmations, chasing suppliers, and relaying important information to project management team and client
  • Upload quotes and orders into internal CRM system and communicate with sales and clients with order confirmations and delivery dates
  • Create quotes via Excel for partitioning take offs
  • Gather and submit technical submittals to architects and contractors for review and sign off
  • Ensure all orders are done smoothly, on time and within budget
  • Assist with the partitioning tender process with the tender manager
  • Create presentations via PowerPoint of partitioning products and project specific solutions for internal and external customers
  • Liaise with project management team to rectify any snagging issues
  • Raise customer and purchase orders
  • Follow up on third party furniture orders to ensure they are confirmed, accurate and on time
  • Liaise with accounts and design team for the course of orders when needed
  • Answer key account customer service inquiries via phone and email

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience within the interior/furniture/partitioning industry ideally in a support role
  • Excellent knowledge of the contract furniture and interiors industry
  • Attention to detail
  • Analytical
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (ideal but not essential)
