Sketch Off – What a Wrap
Video: A Month of MYAA
MYAA, an award winning international architecture practice based in London and Barcelona, are celebrating their 10th year anniversary in September at the Dreamspace Gallery, as part of London Design Festival.
A Month of MYAA brings together projects from past to present, assembled in a three-dimensional grid form. This exhibition invites viewers to explore the diversity and variety of projects which have been completed locally and internationally. Adrem were delighted to host their first ever London show, presenting MYAA’s outstanding concepts and award-winning projects.
One of MYAA’s most recognised projects is the North Harrow Community Centre, London, is a mixed-use scheme that accommodates areas for academic, social, sports, and religion. The project aims to bring different ethnicities, ages and backgrounds together as one community.
“I’m really excited about the North Harrow Community Centre. I think it’ll be a beacon for the rest of the world. A 22nd Century building in the 21st Century, in the heart of London, what else could we ask for?” – Sadiq Khan – Mayor of London
Another prominent project of MYAA includes the Qatar Faculty of Islamic Studies (QFIS) University, Doha. This project explores the relationship between knowledge and light, housing a campus mosque within the education centre.
A Month of MYAA is an introduction to their 10th year anniversary with plans to publish their decennium book later this year. The exhibition will be open throughout the month of September 2017, including the week of London Design Festival from 18th – 22nd.
